Cummins Inc. today announced that the ISM 330 and 280 have been certified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to the 2.5-gram NOx+NMHC standard for urban transit applications to meet 2004 EPA standards.

The ISM 330 and 280, which are EPA-certified in 49 states, are the only current heavy-duty diesel engines compliant with the 2004 EPA Urban Bus emissions standards using standard fuel without special soot filter exhaust aftertreatment.

The engines use cooled EGR to reduce emissions, and are fully covered for two years with unlimited mileage.
