Logistics group Descartes Systems Group Inc. today unveiled Roadshow Express, a routing and scheduling offering that enables small fleet owners and fixed route distributors to optimize their delivery routes using a low-cost service instead of a software solution.
Residing on the Descartes Global Logistics Services Network, Roadshow Express enables organizations to automate, optimize and integrate their delivery services on an annual basis.
Roadshow Express is designed for fixed routes of 50 vehicles or less requiring optimized plans to drive efficiencies and reduce operating costs. A team of Descartes' in-house workers helps the company build optimal routes and territory plans to its requirements.
The service has already been selected to provide optimized route planning and order sequencing for beverage distribution company Coca-Cola SouthEast New England, as well as Canadian hardware, building materials, housewares and furniture retailer Home Hardware Stores Limited.
