USCL was formed in 1996 and now operates out of over a half-million square feet of warehouse space in Hong Kong and South China. USCL also operates cross-dock and deconsolidation facilities of 180,000 sq. ft. in Carson, CA.

"We have many customers in North America and Europe who have been looking for us to add consolidation skill sets to our portfolio," said Alan Boylan, vp of global ocean freight for Exel. "USCL is a young company comprised of quality personnel with a highly defined customer service mentality which will fit easily within Exel and help us to support Exel's objective of building a strong global sea-freight business."
