Patrick L. Reed, corporate vp and chief operating officer for FedEx Freight East, has been named president & CEO of that unit effective December 1. He replaces Thomas R. Garrison, who is retiring.
Keith Lovetro, who currently serves as senior vp of FedEx Freight West, has been named president & CEO effective January 1. He replaces Tilton G. Gore, who is also retiring.
"We are very appreciative of the many contributions that both Tilton and Tom have made to the organization. We wish them well in their retirement," said FedEx Freight Corp president & CEO Douglas G. Duncan. "I am equally pleased to have Keith and Pat as the new leaders of our operating companies."
FedEx Freight East is the former American Freightways, and FedEx Freight West is the former Viking Freight.
