Hal Tate Again CEO at Motor Cargo

Utah-based LTL carrier Motor Cargo Industries Inc., chose company chairman Hal Tate to replace Marshall L. Tate, who resigned to pursue other interests, as CEO. Motor Cargo also selected Louis V. Holdener to fill Marshall Tate’s position on its board of directors, as well as serve as the company’s president. Holdener has been with the company since 1965. . Utah-based LTL carrier Motor Cargo Industries Inc., chose company chairman Hal Tate to replace Marshall L. Tate, who resigned to pursue other interests, as CEO.

Motor Cargo also selected Louis V. Holdener to fill Marshall Tate’s position on its board of directors, as well as serve as the company’s president. Holdener has been with the company since 1965.

. Hal Tate has more than 50 years of experience in the trucking industry and has served as chairman since 1947. He also served as CEO for Motor Cargo from 1947 to 1997. Hal Tate is also the majority shareholder of Motor Cargo, holding approximately 57% of its outstanding common stock.

Motor Cargo provides transportation and logistics services to shippers primarily within the western region of the U.S., transporting mostly general commodities, including consumer goods, packaged foodstuffs, electronics, computer equipment, apparel, hardware, industrial goods and auto parts.

The company also owns MC Distribution Services, Inc., a subsidiary that provides customized logistics, warehousing and distribution management services.
