The Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS), a non-profit organization that promotes technologies in surface transportation systems, is hosting the 2004 ITS America Annual Meeting and Exposition on April 26 to 28 in San Antonio, TX. The event is an open forum to discuss ITS’s involvement in homeland security, public safety and traffic congestion.
In its incident management demonstration, police, EMS, and military personnel will participate in a live drill, utilizing ITS, to respond to a simulated mass casualty incident.
James Hall, former chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board, will discuss safety, security, and the impact of ITS technologies.
