Automotive News, citing the Maeil Business Newspaper, said Hyundai initially plans to export medium-duty trucks to the U.S. and eventually raise export volume to include a wider range of vehicles.

The South Korean automaker said earlier this month it expects to launch a commercial vehicle joint venture with DaimlerChrysler AG, by the first half of next year.
