Integral Technologies, an information technology consulting firm based in Allison Park PA, has unveiled a fleet dispatch and routing software package.

“With this new fleet dispatch capability, customers that rely heavily upon motor vehicle travel and route-based structures for their operations -- such as delivery services, utility companies, trucking companies and home health care agencies -- now have the means to generate an optimal route,” said John Fitzgerald, COO for Integral Technologies.

“By adding this fleet dispatch capability to Integral Technologies’ current services, Integral’s customers can more easily calculate accurate travel times and calculate the optimal sequence in which they pick up or deliver goods,” he added. “The technology's ultra-fast route sequencing engine accommodates last-minute orders, changes and cancellations. However, it minimizes the typically ad hoc nature of routing, which often causes drivers to waste time visiting incorrect addresses. Drivers can visit more customers and maximize each stop, which improves customer satisfaction and deploys resources more effectively.”

He explained that the route sequencing engine in the software finds directions for each leg of a route and sends it to a driver via mobile data terminal, cell phone or wireless device. An address matching technology can find the precise location of a street address, street intersection, city name, region or place name, with the route sequencing engine providing postal information and a comprehensive database of over 40 million roads in North America.
