Michelin contributes to Ol' Blue

Michelin North America, Inc. has contributed $25,000 to Ol’ Blue USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to large vehicle safety.

The Ol’Blue program has been endorsed by law enforcement agencies, schools and key members of the trucking industry.

“We support Ol’ Blue because it helps educate people of all ages about traffic safety and how to avoid accidents,” said Randy Clark, vp of marketing, Michelin Americas Truck Tires.

Ol’ Blue is a 1951 truck in like-new condition that hauls a 53-foot rolling billboard trailer, complete with sponsor and law enforcement logos. It combines the resources of Ol’ Blue with state and local law enforcement, the U.S. Dept. of Transportation, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and other sponsors to further promote large vehicle safety at trucking industry trade shows.
