The light-weight FLEX Air tandem air suspension is being offered in a special promotion for Peterbilt trucks and tractors equipped with post-October engines, Peterbilt Motors Co. announced.

"We're offering the FLEX Air suspension to help offset any added weight post-October engines may have," says Nick Panza, Peterbilt gm and Paccar vp. "With this new FLEX Air promotion, operators can run their vehicles without loss of payload capacity."

The promotion, which is available for a limited time, provides the FLEX Air suspension for the same list price as Peterbilt's popular Low Air Leaf suspension.

FLEX Air is rated at 38,000 pounds and is available for Peterbilt Models 379, 387, 378 and 385.

Panza added that Peterbilt is also offering extended warranty coverage for select Cummins exhaust gas recirculation engines and Eaton transmissions to help offset customer concerns about the impact post-October engines may have on their operations.
