Ryder names two new executives

Ryder System has promoted Robert Sanchez to senior vp of global transportation management and network integration. Ryder also hired Eduardo Vital to be its executive vp of IT services and CIO. Ryder System has promoted Robert Sanchez to senior vp of global transportation management and network integration. Ryder also hired Eduardo Vital to be its executive vp of IT services and CIO.

Sanchez will be responsible for growing Miami-based Ryder's global transportation management division, which booked $2.2 billion in business last year. He will report to Gene Tyndall, executive vp of global supply chain solutions. Sanchez has been with the company since 1993.

Vital will report to Corliss Nelson, Ryder's senior executive vp & CFO and is charged with helping refine Ryder's business model and overall IT use. Prior to joining Ryder, Vital was a partner with Accenture, a global consulting firm.
