Shell and Texaco have launched a new online tool on their websites, Truckstop Finder, that allows truckers to search for and sort truckstops by the services they provide as well as by their locations.

“Truckers are very web-savvy and many use the internet to conduct business,” said Mike Iribarren, gm of marketing for the Shell and Texaco brands for Houston-based Equilon Enterprises LLC. “We wanted to give truckers a tool that would make their lives just a little easier by taking some of the guesswork out of deciding where to pull off with their big rigs,”

Truckstop Finder can locate services such as laundromat, fast food, 24-hour service, private showers, truck parking, diesel fuel, certified scales, repair services, barber shop, café, truck wash and ATMs.

“Shell and Texaco truckstops take great pride in providing quality, convenience and fast, friendly service to drivers,” Iribarren says. “We’ve just extended that commitment to truckers who use the internet to make business decisions.”

Another program, Route Planner, also identifies Shell and Texaco filling stations along the way.
