U.S. Xpress Enterprises Inc. has announced it has replaced Arthur Andersen LLP with Ernst & Young as its independent accountant, effective immediately. U.S. Xpress Enterprises Inc. has announced it has replaced Arthur Andersen LLP with Ernst & Young as its independent accountant, effective immediately.

The carrier's board of directors on the recommendation of its audit committee made the appointment of Ernst & Young.

"The decision to change auditors was not the result of any disagreement between the company and Arthur Andersen on any matter of accounting principles, practices or financial disclosure," U.S. Xpress CFO Ray Harlin said. "Arthur Andersen has provided quality service and exhibited the highest standards of professionalism."
