USF Holland Awarded Carrier Excellence Award

USF Holland Inc., a regional carrier unit of USFreightways Corp., has been awarded the Carrier Excellence Award for the year 2000 from Ashland Distribution Co. and Ashland Specialty Chemical. The award is presented annually to carriers who exceed the Ashland target in each of six different performance measurement areas. The six criteria are: error-free shipments, refusal rate, safety performance,

The award is presented annually to carriers who exceed the Ashland target in each of six different performance measurement areas. The six criteria are: error-free shipments, refusal rate, safety performance, claims performance, freight bill rating accuracy, and an overall evaluation of the carriers by Ashland Distribution's and Ashland Specialty Chemical's shipping facilities.
