XVision gets enhancements

Bendix has unveiled several new enhancements to its XVision thermal-imaging system for commercial trucks. Truckers can now add side- and rear-view cameras to their rigs, giving them greater visibility when changing lanes on the interstate or backing up into loading docks. Bendix has unveiled several new enhancements to its XVision thermal-imaging system for commercial trucks.

Truckers can now add side- and rear-view cameras to their rigs, giving them greater visibility when changing lanes on the interstate or backing up into loading docks.

Mated with the thermal-imaging system, truckers will have a 360-degree view around their rigs.

XVision consists of a roof-mounted camera and a dash-mounted display, and allows drivers to see three to five times farther than they can with regular headlights.
