Yokohama Tire Corp. launched the Fuel Price Buster program last month, which rolls back prices by at least 10% on the company's most fuel-efficient commercial tires for national account customers until diesel fuel prices drop below $1.50 per gallon on a national average.
Although the average price at the pump for a gallon of diesel fuel dropped 2.4 cents this week to $1.484, Yokohama said it will stick to its original plan to run the program until June 30, and will re-evaluate the program at that time.
The products included in the program are the RY637, the RY587 and the TY527.
