GeoLogic Solutions announced that West Liberty, IA-based Florilli Transportation LLC has adopted its MobileMax multi-mode communications and tracking systems. The five-year contract calls for the upgrading of its 225-tractor fleet with new MobileMax technology.
The deal will provide Florilli the advanced capabilities to improve fuel efficiency and idling in real time, GeoLogic Solutions said. Additionally, the system will help capture more accurate arrival and departure times for better visibility for Florilli’s customers.
“As we move forward and new equipment is installed in more of the fleet, we’ll proactively manage the data on idle time to find ways to make fuel-savings improvements,” said Florilli CEO, Murry Fitzer. “As a refrigerated carrier, we have exposure to cargo claims. One consideration in adopting the new MobileMax technology is ultimately have the ability to monitor shipment temperatures in transit, and fix problems quickly so we can mitigate cargo claims.”
