The American Trucking Associations’ Highway Watch program has announced that Highway Watch anti-terrorism and safety training will be provided free of charge to all attendees at the Truck Show in Las Vegas from June 16 to 18.

Highway Watch is a national safety and security program that utilizes transportation workers to help prevent terrorists from using large vehicles or hazardous cargoes as weapons. The program is administered under a partnership between ATA and the Dept. of Homeland Security.

“The Truck Show Las Vegas provides an excellent opportunity for us to deliver Highway Watch training directly to drivers in a convenient setting,” said Bill Jacobs, vp of Highway Watch. “The Highway Watch training provides drivers with the skills and information they will need to help keep the trucking industry safe and secure. It only takes one hour so we hope all attendees will take time out of their busy schedules to attend.”
