Western Star Trucks has announced that the Nevada Dept. of Transportation (NDOT) recently purchased 36 Western Star trucks. NDOT will distribute the trucks among its snowplow, sander and dump truck fleets.

Sierra Western Star of Sparks, NV, developed a premium spec package for NDOT to include 4900 FA trucks with 123-in. BBCs and Caterpillar C13 engines.

“We're looking forward to integrating the Western Star trucks into our
fleet,” said Mike Stair, equipment superintendent for NDOT. “They will
be an asset to the Department of Transportation.”
