Remote Dynamics, Inc. has announced the release of its updated mobile asset tracking system, REDIview version 1.5. The latest enhancement enables faster access to fleet data and the ability to integrate a company’s remote workforce to its corporate networks, Remote Dynamics said.

Key features in REDIview 1.5 include:

  • Fleet Status, which provides a textual, at-a-glance view of company fleets.
  • REDIsense provides the ability to monitor through use of standard vehicle sensors such as seatbelt engaged, cab door ajar, and battery voltage, along with custom-installed sensors such as cargo door and service equipment usage.
  • REDIconnect offers web access through the REDIview mobile unit to enable field service personnel to access data from the corporate office over a secure, wireless channel.
  • REDIhotspot enables WiFi support to complement REDIconnect by expanding a remote workforce's access to data from company headquarters. It provides wireless access for laptops, PDAs, and other wireless devices.
