Green Bay, WI-based Schneider National is adding the latest in electronic recruiting technology to its website, launched in October last year, to intensify its recruiting efforts for truck drivers, maintenance personnel, and others.

Rob Reich, the carrier’s vp of enterprise recruiting, said the revamped site now allows job applicants to post resumes, complete online applications for open positions, and sign up for e-mail notices that match their profiles with Schneider career opportunities.

Reich said the new VirtualEdge software tool on the website should allow Schneider to pre-screen, efficiently review and manage the hundreds of thousands of job applications it receives each year.

The site currently features more than 350 available driving, maintenance and office positions, including management, information technology and administrative roles at Schneider’s headquarters as well as its operating centers and field offices throughout North America and Europe.

“With this technology we hope to evaluate potential candidates more quickly and ultimately fill open positions faster, which will dramatically improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of our recruiting process,” Reich said.

The site is www.schneiderjobs.com.
