The Timken Co. has made two key personnel appointments, inlcuding a new vice president of off-highway, light vehicle systems and rail. Brian J. Ruel will have responsibility to lead the company’s growth in these sectors, group president Christopher A. Coughlin said.

Coughlin also announced that Andreas Roellgen has been named vice president of process industries and managing director of Europe. Roellgen will lead all global aspects of the process industry business segment.

Ruel joined Timken in 1984 as a sales engineer and has held various positions in sales management and business development including director of business development for Asia Pacific. Roellgen has been with Timken since 1997, serving in the company’s European headquarters in Colmar, France.  In 2000, he was transferred to the new business development team in Canton, OH.  He returned to Europe in 2003 and held various positions, including general manager of warehousing, logistics, replenishment and customer service, and was named director of supply chain Europe in 2007.  Roellgen was named to his most recent position of managing director Europe in 2010.
