TSA proposes hazmat CDL fees and fingerprint

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today has published a notice of proposed rulemaking [RIN 1652-AA33] to establish a fee for security threat assessments on individuals who apply for or renew a hazardous-materials endorsement for a CDL. It also proposes a fee to finance the collection and transmission of fingerprints.

TSA is accepting comments, which may be submitted electronically at dms.dot.gov until December 1, 2004.
