U.S. Xpress Chooses Bandag Tire Service

U.S. Xpress chooses Bandag tire service

Bandag, Inc. has signed a six-year agreement with Chattanooga, TN-based U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Inc. to manage the carrier’s tire program. This covers 5,500 tractors and 14,500 trailers.

Bandag will manage the fleet’s wheels, tires, retreads and tire-related services.

“Their strong dealer alliance, nationwide coverage and proven tire management outsourcing capabilities were compelling reasons for our organization to enter the agreement,” said Max L. Fuller, U.S. Xpress co-founder. “By consolidating all of our tire management tasks, we will reduce operating expenses. We also believe we will increase our fleet’s uptime, which will ultimately lead to higher levels of customer satisfaction.”

“Our tire management services will help U.S. Xpress better predict and manage tire costs, and allow them to focus more time and resources on their core strength of meeting customers’ shipment needs,” said Martin Carver, president, chairman & CEO of Bandag.
