Volvo Trucks says was its 2004 best year

Sweden’s Volvo Trucks Corp. has announced that 2004 was the best year in its history. The OEM said it had 97,234 deliveries, propped by “considerable demand for heavy trucks” in all of its major markets.

In North America, the total market increased 42% to 255,000 vehicles, based primarily on pent-up replacement demand. Sales of heavy-duty Volvo trucks totaled 26,035—a 52% increase in North America.
