Xtra Lease has announced reaching the milestone of having the largest fleet of tracking-equipped rental trailers after installing over 50,000 tracking units on its dry van trailers in the U.S. and Canada.

“More and more users are seeing the real value of trailer tracking,” said Bill Franz, Xtra Corp. CEO. “It’s helping our customers cut costs. While there are significant security benefits with trailer tracking, the ability to find assets quickly and reliably, to know where they are sitting idle, and to know whether they are loaded and unloaded, all have a direct impact on utilization and costs.”
