Photos: A "4 State" Homage to the "Class Pays" Ads of Yore

Nov. 17, 2011
When Bryan Martin, owner of the famous "chrome shop mafia" 4 State Trucks in Joplin, Mo., hired famed truck photographer Roger Snider to shoot his 2012 calendar, Snider had an idea: why not recreate the old-style "Class Pays" ads of yore, where trucks were photographed in real settings? Snider even had a actress in mind to help complement the calendar's trucks as was done in in the old days: Polish-born Agnes Olech. The result is a one-of-a-kind visual "tour de force" of some very sharp road iron. To view all of the calendar's photos, visit Snider's web site at http://www.ultrarigsoftheworld.com
