GE Capital Solutions Fleet Services has unveiled a new web-based training program that includes lessons delivered on-demand to help fleets reduce their overall vehicle accident costs and risks while providing required safety training for drivers.

According to GE, the modules consist of 18 lessons that focus on specific driving techniques using 3D driving sequences and interactive content, as well as feature review sessions and exam questions for additional assessment. Fleet managers can email the driver which lessons they want completed, and the drivers are able to access the training using any internet connection at their convenience.

“Preventable accident collisions, on average, account for 35% of total accident claims,” said Eric Strom, maintenance & safety solutions product manager for GE Capital Solutions Fleet Services. “GE’s online driver safety training now makes it easier for drivers to complete mandatory training and helps fleets reduce vehicle accident costs.”
