Interstate Cold Storage (ICS) recently added two “state-of-the-art” lift trucks at its Columbus I temperature-controlled facility in Ohio with the goal of streamlining and optimizing warehousing and logistics processes.
“While the addition of these lift trucks may seem incremental, the impact is far-reaching,” Don Chambers, ISC director of operations, stated in news release. “This advanced equipment allows us to handle products with heightened efficiency, meeting the dynamic demands of our customers and contributing to substantial operational dividends.”
The lift trucks represent ICS’s second strategic investment in the last five months, following the deployment of new forklifts at its Columbus II location in October 2023. The upgrades underscore the company’s “unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence,” ICS maintained.
The cold storage company operates five facilities across Ohio and Indiana, including Columbus, Napoleon, and Fort Wayne, where it offers a range of warehousing solutions. Services include cold storage, temporary storage, quick-freezing, space-guarantee programs, and rail access. ICS is recognized by the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses as one of the top 20 refrigerated warehousing companies in North America.
