Hirschbach completes John Christner integration

April 3, 2024
Combined operation, now united under joint branding, includes 3,000 trucks, 5,000 trailers—and annual revenue in excess of $1 billion.

Hirschbach Motor Lines recently completed the integration of John Christner Trucking, which the carrier acquired in April 2022.

The two companies now are united as Hirschbach with joint branding.

“Today marks an important milestone,” Brad Pinchuk, Hirschbach chairman and owner, said in a news release. “The merger of these two great companies has resulted in increased productivity [and] visibility to capacity and freight, resulting in tremendous pride in the collective teams.

“Consolidating to one forward-facing image was important for the sake of clarity and brand recognition in the marketplace.”

Logistics and third-party capacity offerings now will operate under Hirschbach Solutions, the company reported.

The 2022 acquisition of John Christner added 800 trucks to Hirschbach’s fleet and created a combined organization with more than 3,000 trucks, 5,000 trailers—and annual revenue in excess of $1 billion.

“The consolidation project, known as ‘1Hirschbach’ will result in increased flexibility and capacity to provide services customers have come to expect, including access to a larger, combined trailer pool,” said Richard Stocking, Hirschbach president and CEO. “Equipment re-branding will take place in tandem with the company’s equipment trade cycles over the next several years. We are thrilled with the opportunity to offer our customers increased capacity as a result of this operational consolidation.”
