CARB OKs propane autogas retrofit system for 2010 Ford vehicles

July 13, 2012

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has given its approval to a retrofit propane autogas fuel system for 2010 model year vans and wagons. The system, developed by Roush CleanTech, fits 5.4L Ford E-150, E-250, and E-350 cargo vans and wagons.

“We are excited to offer our customers in California another option for adopting clean, economical propane autogas into their fleets — without having to purchase a brand new chassis,” said Todd Mouw, vice president of sales and marketing for Roush CleanTech. “This certification demonstrates Roush CleanTech’s continued investment to help meet the needs of fleet managers.”

The company said it is continuing its efforts to gain CARB approval for 2009, 2011 and 2012 model years of the same vehicles as well as E-450 cutaway vehicle platforms.
