Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. (FCCC) has started production on its propane autogas S2G medium-duty chassis. The vehicle features FCCC’s S2 chassis with a factory-installed propane autogas engine and fuel system from CleanFuel USA.

The S2G is powered by an 8L V8 “big block” engine featuring CleanFuel’s liquid propane system. It offers up to 339 hp. and 495 lbs.-ft. of torque.

Initial orders for the truck will focus on the propane-delivery market. FCCC said it has plans to expand into other applications and industries beginning in 2015.

The truck features the Freightliner M2 cab with a windshield that is 30% larger thanks to a sloped hood for improved visibility. A 55-deg. wheel cut and GVWR of 33,000 lbs. make the truck an ideal fit for medium-duty applications.

A  3-yr./50,000-mi. warranty with towing and roadside assistance and 24/7 factory direct customer support is included.
