U.S. Oil to operate Maryland CNG station for Northeast Foods

Sept. 12, 2014

U.S. Oil will build and operate a Gain Clean Fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station in Baltimore, MD, for Northeast Foods.

The station will be located at the intersection of I-95 and I-895 and will service Northeast Foods and H&S Bakery’s regional distribution routes. Northeast Foods’ service area includes 23 states. It has been a bakery provider for McDonald’s and other fast-food restaurants since the 1960s.

“Northeast Foods is proud to partner with U.S. Oil as we transition a significant portion of our fleet to CNG,” said Chuck Paterakis, vice president-transportation and logistics.

Northeast Foods will initially convert 25 Class 8 tractors to run on CNG in the Baltimore market.
