Rear View Safety introduced the RVS-77535 360° Surround View Camera System.

Rear View Safety introduced the RVS-77535 360° Surround View Camera System. This system uses four fish-eye cameras to create a 3D image of the vehicle and its surroundings, erasing all blind spots, the company said.

According to data from The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there were over 35,000 fatalities on U.S. roadways in 2015. This is an overall increase from 2014. “The 360° Surround View Camera System increases overall safety by not only erasing blind spots, but also by assisting with parking and helping with navigation on narrow roads,” the company said. “The omni-directional perspective creates a bird's eye view of the vehicle. The system also includes standard 2D views. A video highlighting these features can be seen here.”

The RVS-77535 is also a fully functional DVR, capable of 24-hour loop recording. The standard G-Sensor protects important files from being erased in the case of unusual movement or impact. Keeping this footage safe is essential for insurance purposes in the case of an accident.

The RVS-77535 360° Surround View Camera System has two configurations, for vehicles under 25 feet and vehicles between 25-50 feet. “This makes the system ideal for both smaller consumer vehicles and larger commercial vehicles including transit and school buses,” according to the company.
