MacroPoint integrates with Arcline

MacroPoint announced it has integrated with Arcline (2000), a Transportation Management Software provider for freight brokers and trucking companies.

“MacroPoint provides our freight broker customers with a complete load tracking solution that reduces the amount of phone calls needed to manage freight movements,” said Michelle Dirracolo, president of Arcline (2000). “Real time updates are seamlessly sent to our ArcTrac Internet shipment tracking and Mobile App. MacroPoint is a cost effective load tracking solution that provides added value for our freight broker customers.”

Used with a driver’s mobile phone, including flip phones, or existing in-cab ELD/GPS devices, MacroPoint’s patented location tracking software gives third parties load status and location visibility on their shipments, according to the company. “With MacroPoint, brokers, 3PLs and shippers have real-time location tracking, on-time delivery monitoring, and arrival and departure notifications that enhance the efficiency and profitability of their operations,” the company said.

“The combined capabilities of MacroPoint and Arcline (2000) allows freight brokerage customers to track shipments in real time while reducing the amount of phone calls needed to effectively manage freight movements,” said Glynn Spangenberg, senior vice president/general manager of MacroPoint. “Providing visibility into the location of freight for our mutual customers is the reason we developed our 3rd party load tracking software to integrate with solutions that brokers are already using to manage their operations with no contract, or apps to download or install.”
