The company, a division of Maverick USA, is using the products to provide electronic methods for carriers to submit invoices and load documents to participating third party logistics (3PL) providers and freight brokers to speed processing and payment.
Transflo $Velocity groups documents and data a 3PL or broker requires and electronically transmits them together with an invoice, reducing processing time, Pegasus TransTech said.
Transflo Mobile requires only a smartphone, either an Android or iPhone, to send the documents and invoice.
“We wanted to reduce the paperwork, cut down on the faxing and mailing of documents, and streamline the entire process,” said John Bohannon, brokerage customer service manager said. “If the carrier mails their documents in, it can be two to three days before we receive them. With this system, carriers can send in documents directly and get paid more quickly.”
Maverick Logistics currently has as many as 3,000 carriers set up in their system.
