July 17, 2014

Gamber-Johnson, a manufacturer of rugged docking and vehicle mounting stations, has released a new powered cradle for use with Panasonic Toughpad FZ-X1 and FZ-E1 rugged handheld tablets.

The company said it is now taking orders and will start shipping the FZ-X1 /FZ- E1 powered cradle in late August.

The powered cradle features an AMPS, NEC, and keyhole slot mounting-pattern located on the back to make it easy to mount in a vehicle.

A push-button keyed lock eases docking/undocking the FZ-X1/E1 Toughpad and keepa it secure, said Gamber-Johnson.

The cradle also has charging capabilities designed with original Panasonic electronics. It is designed so that all the Toughpad tablet function buttons and ports are accessible while the tablet is docked in the cradle.

The cradle will also accommodate the optional attachable magnetic stripe card reader, integrated barcode reader, and 2 different hand straps for the FZ-X1/FZ-E1 tablet. It will attach to several existing Gamber-Johnson motion attachments.
