TL carrier installs Transflo Express, Transflo Mobile

Feb. 24, 2014

Dick Lavy Trucking, an Ohio-based truckload carrier, has implemented both Transflo Express and Transflo Mobile from Pegasus TransTech.

The carrier operates more than 200 trucks and 500 dry-van trailers in its network to provide shippers with fast, reliable coverage throughout the eastern half of the United States. It tested the products in December and will now roll them out to help speed the flow of delivery documents to the office and improve efficiency for its billing and payroll processes.

Transflo Express and Transflo Mobile are available to drivers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Convenience is a key offering of these services, Pegasus said. Drivers can visit one of the more than 950 scan locations or simply use their smart phone to submit paperwork.

Transflo Mobile is an app that drivers can download for free onto their Apple and Android smartphone or tablet devices. With an intuitive user interface, the app has built-in features that ensure image readability and compression techniques that maintain the quality while reducing image size.

Prior to using the scanning solutions, the company’s drivers were mailing trip documents or delivering them in person to the office. “[Now] we got the documents right away and everything was accounted for,” said Erin Sargent, administrative assistant for Dick Lavy. “We no longer needed to call drivers back to try and track down documents that were late or missing.”
