Transflo $Velocity 2.5 released

Feb. 24, 2012

Pegasus TransTech has upgraded its Transflo $Velocity software to further simplify the relationship between freight brokers and carriers, it said.

Introduced two years ago, Transflo $Velocity speeds cash flow for both parties.

“Our small fleet customers told us they wanted a simple electronic standard that did not require portal training for every business relationship they had in brokerage,” said Bob Helms, chairman & CEO of Pegasus TransTech. “Our large fleet customers requested electronic transmission of both data and images to brokers that could replace or at least enhance EDI transactions with more complete information.”

The software, which is free to download, allows carriers to electronically transmit indexed documents and related data to brokers. Carriers receive a confirmation receipt guaranteeing that documents have been delivered to the broker, Pegasus TransTech said.

Using the software reduces errors by allowing carriers to send rate confirmation sheets, invoices, and bills of lading together; and eliminates the time and cost of mailing or faxing invoices to brokers, the company said.

“Our broker customers told us they wanted to attract more capacity, grow their business efficiently, and to differentiate themselves in the marketplace by becoming easier to do business with,” Helms said. “Transflo $Velocity 2.5 helps create a competitive advantage and win/win for all parties with its new easy to use features.”
