LeanLogistics, which produces the LeanDex Transportation Index, has announced that it will now make the LeanDex Index available as a self-service application without requiring the purchaser to subscribe to other LeanLogistics technologies.
“LeanDex benefits are industry wide,” said Tim Hinson, vice president of global supply chain services for LeanLogistics. “Our clients using LeanDex have found the index to be a valuable addition to their business intelligence by providing much-needed rate trending data.”
LeanDex tracks transportation rates for dry van and refrigerated shipments through the LeanLogistics transportation network, which uses more than 51,000 shippers, suppliers, and trading partners in North America. The Index provides time snapshots and ongoing trends of rates.
Carriers who use the service are able to adjust their rates by identifying lanes where they may be either overcharging or undercharging.
