A new load board from Internet Truckstop includes an instant texting feature designed to speed the process by which members can access freight opportunities.
The site, ITEX, is available at no additional charge to Internet Truckstop members. Once logged into www.truckstop.com, users can use their unique handle/name to begin sending messages to other online users to discuss availability of trucks and freight.
“We developed ITEX using feedback we heard from our members who want to communicate faster, book freight faster, and find available trucks more effectively. ITEX adds a convenience and immediacy of sending and receiving text messages directly to individuals using the Internet Truckstop system, allowing them to negotiate without ever picking up a phone,” said Leigh Foxall, director of freight matching.
Users can also have multiple conversations at the same time, the company said.
