Mobile Awareness has combined a sensor system and video camera to offer VisionStat Plus as an option to prevent backing accidents.
VisionStat Plus uses Mobile Awareness’ SenseStat Obstacle Detection Sensor System and its VisionStat Camera System. Audio and visual information is displayed through the camera system, identifying when an object is in the rear-backing path of the vehicle. Visual confirmation is made via a CCD camera along with distance and proximity from any of four sensors, providing the driver an exact distance within 1 in. of the object.
VisionStat is available with either a 5.6 in. or 7 in. color LCD monitor, configurable with up to four infrared night vision cameras. The combination of the backing camera and sensors with audible alarm provides a cost-efficient solution to safety, the company said.
“Mobile Awareness continues to see an increasing demand among fleets for more flexible, effective and affordable safety systems” said Brandon Stotsenburg, vp-sales & marketing. “By developing VisionStat Plus we continue our commitment to provide easy-to-install, cost-effective and technically advanced solutions for enhanced vehicle safety.”
