TruckTax has unveiled a new paperless bookkeeping system. The Trucker-Books help manage bookkeeping tasks, accounting, and business tax information and filings.

Designed in a spreadsheet format, the program is customized to meet income and expense recording categories needed by truckers, providing more control by offering clearer business information and source documents, the company said.

TruckTax eliminates the need to send paper copies of income and expense invoices and receipts to an accountant. The program allows users to input their income and expenses at a convenient time and send the spreadsheet to an accountant on a monthly basis via email.

“Truckers typically collect their business income and expense information and receipts, then package and send them to an accountant or a company like ours to handle the accounting and document management,” said Ron Johnson, president of TruckTax, Inc.

Printouts of reports are available as well to provide a look at the business’s operations. Active reports include profit/loss report; cash flow report; and operating analysis of income per mile or kilometer, cost per mile or kilometer and profit per mile or kilometer.

There is also a load profit analysis option to help determine what the profit will be on any individual load prior to pickup.
