PeopleNet has established a new North American Service Network of third-party service centers that are certified to install and service PeopleNet systems. The network will be available to all PeopleNet customers but those joining the PeopleNet Service Program for a nominal monthly fee per truck will have their PeopleNet repair labor costs covered.

In addition, PeopleNet Service Program members will receive a 5% discount on installation and removal charges. They will also receive priority appointments—within 48 hours for shop visits and within 72 hours for on-site visits. All billing goes through PeopleNet.

“Our service network is all about making it easy for our customers to keep their fleets operationally efficient by enabling them to coordinate on-demand service work on PeopleNet units,” said director of technical operations Tim Petersen. “Now they can schedule service at any of our 34 (and growing) reliable service centers across North America instead of having to wait until they return to their terminal or usual service center.”

Petersen added that the company has developed a “true partnership” with service centers that comprise its North American Service Network to ensure a high standard of care for customers. “Our relationship goes well beyond a ‘suggested’ list of service locations. These centers share our vision for streamlined resolution as much as possible—from billing to scheduling and quality of service.”
