Users of TomTom Pro navigation solutions can now improve routing with a new integration of commercial vehicle restrictions into the offering.

“Business drivers can now leverage easy-to-use TomTom navigation that also encompasses key commercial vehicle travel restrictions to ensure they are on the right roads and adhering to applicable restrictions,” said Michael Geffroy, vice president of sales, North America for TomTom Business Solutions.

Current device owners will be able to update their software with the new feature late in the third quarter, TomTom said. Commercial vehicle restrictions are available on the Pro 7150 and Pro 9150.

“Businesses with any size fleet need to optimize on-the-road operations and their fleet management solutions must enable drivers to easily reach their destination via smart and legally compliant routes so they can conduct their work with confidence and avoid unnecessary fines,” said Geffroy.

TomTom recently introduced Active Driver Feedback and Webfleet OptiDrive, which are designed to further increase safety and efficiency for businesses, and TomTom HD Traffic, which helps fleet drivers spend less time in traffic and get to their destination faster.
