Boost Mobile, the prepaid division of Sprint, has announced the Monthly Unlimited plan, offering unlimited nationwide calling, text messaging, wireless web and walkie-talkie services for a set fee.
The company also announced the release of the Motorola i290 handset, a GPS-enabled wireless phone featuring a hands-free speakerphone with voice-activated dialing, text and multimedia messaging, walkie-talkie and 600-entry phonebook.
“People are really feeling the economic pinch right now and are looking for products and services that will offer them value, financial flexibility and control,” said Neil Lindsay, vp of marketing, Boost Mobile. “Both the i290 and the Monthly Unlimited plan are the perfect choice for consumers who want a phone and service plan that delivers all the necessary communication tools without burning a hole through their wallet.”
Boost Mobile also teamed with Motorola and Sprint to announce the Motorola Stature i9, the thinnest flip phone in the Nextel Direct Connect portfolio, will be available through Boost at the end of February. The 15mm thick phone features a touch-sensitive exterior flip, a 3.1 megapixel camera and Bluetooth wireless technology.
