Penske Truck Leasing has announced its Fleet I.Q. management tool will become a portfolio of services and solutions at various price points, featuring onboard technology from a variety of suppliers

Penske Truck Leasing has announced its Fleet I.Q. management tool will become a portfolio of services and solutions at various price points, featuring onboard technology from a variety of suppliers. The leasing company is teaming with PeopleNet and expanding its relationship with Enhanced Vehicle Applications (EVA) for onboard commercial truck technology options.

“Over the last several years, we offered customers one Fleet I.Q. product through one vendor,” said Jim Feenstra, senior vp, marketing – Penske Truck Leasing “At the time this was right because of the various vendor business models and our customers weren’t yet comfortable with these systems. However, today the market is maturing. Companies are looking to optimize fleet productivity and reduce transportation costs. Also, through our experience we understand that one size doesn’t fit all and different customers need different solutions.”

CyntrX, EVA’s web-based GPS tracking system, allows customers to monitor their fleet tracking needs throughout North America, Penske said. Penske, which has previously marketing CyntrX under the name FleetInSite and has worked with EVA since 2005, said it will offer its customers two CyntrX units, adding more models as they become available

Penske also announced it will provide a new financing option and in-house consulting service to help customers analyze the data captured by the on-board technology systems.
