Amerit to provide vehicle maintenance through GE Capital Fleet Services

Oct. 23, 2013

GE Capital Fleet Services has reached agreement with Amerit Fleet Solutions for contract vehicle maintenance service to fleets through GE’s TruckVantage fleet management service. Amerit will provide on-site and mobile maintenance, GE said.

TruckVantage’s on-site maintenance program brings technicians into existing customer garages to provide on-site fleet maintenance and oversight. Services offered include maintenance and repairs for trucks, trailers and material handling equipment, as well as parts inventory management and DOT, OSHA and other environmental safety inspections.

TruckVantage mobile maintenance allows GE customers to access Amerit's Mobile Service Centers, which are fully customized “rolling garages” that can be deployed to serve fleet maintenance needs. Mobile maintenance allows clients to schedule repairs and preventative maintenance on-site at their facilities, eliminating the expense and downtime associated with transporting assets to other maintenance providers.

“This agreement is an important element of GE Capital Fleet Services’ ability to offer a more comprehensive truck maintenance solution,” said Brad Hoffelt, senior vice president, general manager of products and services at GE Capital Fleet Services. “Through the Amerit on-site and mobile maintenance programs, customers can cut downtime, keep costs stable and predictable, and spend more time focusing on core operations.”

“Combining Amerit’s proven success in deploying fleet maintenance service solutions anywhere in the U.S. with GE’s current TruckVantage program creates a unique, comprehensive approach to solving the challenges many of the fleets in the U.S. face today,” said Dan Williams, CEO of Amerit Fleet Solutions.

TruckVantage is a single source, 24/7 maintenance and management solution offering a range of services, including vehicle leasing and financing, fuel spend tracking, remarketing, flexible online reporting, and accident and safety tools such as Mobileye’s collision avoidance system.
