Precision Fleet Brakes is using cryogenic processing for its brake components that make them last up to four times longer than original equipment, the company said, resulting in reduced downtime as well as environmental benefits.

According to Precision, cryogenic processing achieves low temperatures through the use of nitrogen, resulting in no emissions or waste byproducts being released into the atmosphere.

“The longer life of our rotors positively impacts the environment, translating to less waste for our customers due to a reduction in the frequency of rotor replacement, said Zane McCarthy, president & CEO of Precision Fleet Brakes. “In turn, reductions in shipping, downtime and labor provide added benefits to our customers.”
