Cummins Filtration has released the Fleetguard ES Compleat Glycerin, which the company said uses a non-toxic glycerin instead of traditional ethylene glycol (EG) or propylene glycol (PG).
“Being able to support sustainability with a glycerin coolant that also offers excellent protection is very important to our mission,” said Mike Sarris, director of global coolants and chemicals for Cummins Filtration. “We have long supported the importance of greener solutions through all our product development, and we are very pleased to introduce our new environmentally friendly glycerin coolant to the marketplace.”
According to the company, Cummins Filtration extensively tested glycerin—which is derived from natural sources--as a base for the coolant, and it has met or exceeded all heavy-duty engine OEM’s performance specifications while providing anti-freeze, anti-boil, heat transfer and corrosion protection.
